Drumlins were digitized in the direction of the ice flow. Meltwater channels were digitized so that the channel they bound is on the right-hand side of the arc. The other features represent nontopological, linear features. Line features may cross without intersecting (i.e., features may overlap).

The map was scanned as a 24-bit, 500 dpi resolution jpg and converted to an 8-bitt tiff for performing the registration procedure in ArcINFO. Ten to thirty control points were used for registration to achieve an average RMS error of 15 m. Visual examination of the registered digital data against the paper map indicates the positional accuracy is +/- 80 m.
